Here is a picture of our family... Tim and Loreen (me), Kylie is 9, Julaine and Jaren are twins and are almost 7, Logan is 2 and Kiora is only 7 days old!
I must say I have the most awesome kids in the world. They are even sweet to me, and believe it or not, will say things such as "I'm so glad you're our mom, you're the best mom!" OK.. wow.. better enjoy this while they are still young and will say things like that. I hope that does keep up though. It is nice to hear that because as a mom I think we feel we spend more time yelling at our kids than enjoying them. Everyday is a learning experience though.
Kylie Loreen Bliss will be TEN in November and is growing up soooo fast. She mimics Hanna Montana way too much and is already acting like a preteen. I'm holding on to her innocence as long as possible. She is great to talk with and can carry on a rather deep conversation. She loves to sing and write music, keep her room clean, read, cook, play the piano, play with friends and family and is a great helper. She can get a little bossy at times but that is because she cares about her siblings so much. (right?)
Julaine Leda Bliss turned 7 on July 11th and is mom's little helper. She wants to hold her new little sister as often as she can. She loves to sing and can be super silly. She loves to read, play barbies, trains, and pretty much anything else. Though she may not say that she likes it, she does really well at soccer. Once you get Julaine talking she has a lot to say. She wants to do what her older sister does and needs reminding that she is 2 1/2 yrs younger though at times she doesn't act it.
Jaren Timothy Bliss also turned 7 on July 11th and yes, is Julaine's twin. (Julaine will point out that she is 3 minutes older though). Jaren is a super sweet boy that loves to play with his little brother and loves having a new little sister. He gets excited about so many things and loves to ride his bike, jump on the trampoline (he does great flips), ride his dad's horse, and play in our huge sandbox. Jaren is very active and even though he seems like he can't slow down, loves to chill with his siblings in front of a movie and eat popcorn.
Logan Reed Bliss is 2 going on 7. He wants to do everything that the older kids are doing. Wow can that boy jump. And I don't mean just on the trampoline... jump from and off of and to everything and anything. He is certainly a daredevil. Logan loves his new little sister and everything she does. "Look, he's sticking his toungue out at me!!!" (We are still working on the he/she thing.) He loves Thomas and playing with his trains, books, playing in the sandbox and with anything with water. (My fountains) He loves sign language and knows a ton of signs just for fun. He loves watching The Little Einsteins on the Disney Channel. Logan loves to sit on the front porch swing with me and is a joy to chat with. He is talking so well and can carry on the cutest conversations.
Kiora Lillie Bliss will be two months on August 29, 2008. She is full of smiles and makes the cutest little cooing sounds. She is becoming much more attentive and will respond wonderfully to her siblings, which of course, they love. Kiora loves smiling, music, and being outside. She is definitely mommy's girl, and while Tim is super cute with her and you can tell she loves her daddy, right now she wants me 99 percent of the time it seems. Of course, I am her food supply. I love having five kids and though it is crazy most of the time, couldn't imagine the family without Kiora. She is held almost constantly, which is fine with me. She will grow up knowing she is loved.
Wow! Tim and I are soooo incredibly blessed. We had kids so we could have wonderful grandkids, and were so lucky to have wonderful kids too! Since I'm doing the blogging I must say something about my better half. Tim is the best hubby in the world. How many men out there will help so much with the kids, change diapers, do dishes, make dinner, make the best cookies in the world, help with laundry and housework, keep up the yard and so many other wonderful things. I am truely grateful for all he does for me and the kids. Tim enjoys his work at the dairy, his horses, playing raquetball, bow hunting, reading and watching movies.
