Kiora and her big brother Jaren
Ok...this was actually taken the night before Thanksgiving in our hotel room. Kiora always smiles so cutely at Jaren so I had to send this from my phone too.
Kiora had elephant for her Thanksgiving dinner.
She lasted on this blanket probably five minutes! Kiora likes being up where the action is! There were plenty of people who love to hold her so I got to eat too. Kiora loves this little taggy elephant though.

Our twins Jaren and Julaine didnt finish their turkey legs! We ended up taking the rest of the meat off them to use on sandwiches later. I believe in the background is Amy Dan Kylie Mom Alayna who is the blur and Adam who is holding Kylan.

Our 5 kids Nov 26 2008. Meridian ID en route to Thanksgiving in Washington.
My niece, Victoria asked why Julaine was pouting in the last picture I sent of this waterfall pond photo... Well, notice she is holding Kiora in this photo and not in the other picture. Enough said.

First stop on our way to Washington... Holiday Inn Express in Meridian ID.
Holiday Inn Express in Meridian ID. Whew... finally made it. 7 hrs today. I' m pretty impressed that with 5 kids we only made one 15 min stop! Making sandwiches saved us a dinner stop. Grapes and baby carrots are the best travel snacks. Gold fish crackers were the only junk type food they had and those arent even that bad. We'll make the last leg of our journey to Washington State tomorrow. We should only have 4 1/2 hrs left. I look forward to getting back to my folks' house in Richland WA!

My baby gets her first taste of solid food.... a banana in a safety mesh feeder.
Kiora was reaching for my banana so I gave her her own in a safety mesh feeder. We both got pretty messy but she loved it. 11-13-2008
Kiora eating her first solid foods a banana.
Kiora kept reaching for my banana so I put a piece in this cool mesh safety feeder. Logan had fun helping her and even got her laughing. She was loving it.
2nd graders at Christmas at Quality Market.
Singing at Quality market. Julaine was hidden so I finally got a picture of both her and Jaren when they were walking out. Jaren is in the front row in green shirt. Julaine is just up and to the left of him in the red shirt and black pants.
All I Want For Christmas is My Two Front Teeth.
Christmas at Quality Market! 2nd graders singing All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth. Jaren is in the front row on right in the green shirt. Do not know how to tell you where Julaine is. . . She is behind Jaren a couple rows behind a tall girl. Sad. All I can mostly see is Julaine s silver head band. Wish I would have known before they came in but they did not even know how they would end up. I was situated with Logan and Kiora by then. Oh well. I have a photo. This song was really appropriate for her though. Well for both of them really since they have both lost teeth recently. Julaine however has both her two front bottom teeth missing. Fun.

The Bar J Wranglers and their 'Granny' - Brian is hilarious! 11-10-2008
Granny sang a funny song to the tune of Old Mc Donald had a farm. It was called Granny had an altered farm. It had snakes with hiccupps, dogs with gas, pigs who fall asleep, cows who sneeze etc. Funny! The kids loved it. I did miss Grannys Tairy Fail story about Rinder Cella but weve seen it twice and new stuff is fun too.

Even the kids are loving the Bar J Wranglers
From left- Jaren holding Kiora, Kylie, Julaine, Tim holding Logan. Of course Im never in the picture because I am always taking it. This is the first year we have taken the kids. . . Hmmm Logan loved it at first but like any normal two year old got restless after the first hour. The other kids including the baby did great and really enjoyed it. The Bar J Wranglers are such a talented group. 11-10-2008
Bar J Wranglers 11-10-2008 Such a fun show. One of these days we need to go see them in Jackson Hole!
They came to Delta again! Their 4th time here. Weve been 3 times and love it each time. It would be fun to go to their dinner show in Jackson Hole Wyoming someday. The Bar J Wranglers are such a talented group.

My cousin's Middle American Party Blog
My cousin, John Muhlestein, is writing a political blog that I so far have found fascinating. I'd like to copy and paste his opening:
Middle American Party
- John Muhlestein
(By the way, Loreen here, I'd like to point out that the Secretary of Agriculture that he is mentioning is President Ezra Taft Benson!)
So... everyone who is not totally, completely sick of politics...check it out. I thought I was done until I read this...hey, and if nothing else, go find out what the "Bite Me Rule" (made me laugh) and the "Empty Words Rule" (scared me) are!

Way to go John!
Middle American Party
I will use this blog to do three things. One, provide a voice of opposition to the democratic controlled government. Two, to track their progress on promises they made to get elected (to see if they ever deliver.) Three, to vent, educate, and to work through my own frustration. Please read the ground rules if you wish to respond to this blog.
Why I am writing this Blog
In the 1960’s, America’s Secretary of Agriculture was told by his Russian counterpart that Americans where so dumb, so naive, and so uninformed that Socialism would be fed to them spoonful by spoonful until 30-40 years from now, America would wake up one morning a socialist country.- John Muhlestein

Sigh
Well, history was made tonight. I am proud that we live in such a diverse country. Though this race should not have been about race... There are people who say that it never was, but I'm not sure how they could say that when everything has been pointed out that Barack Obama will be the first African American President. I think it will be great that an African American will be our President, I just wish it was a GOOD African American. McCain's speech was very inspiring, very gracious.... and like a true American I too will support our next President.
My vote is for my kids. Youngest 2 - out of 5 - looking so cute on election day
Logan is 2 and a half and is so cute when he says 'Let me hold him' We're still working on the him/her thing! Kiora is 4 months old and adores her big brother. I really did vote today based on who I felt would bring a better, stronger, SAFER America for my kids. One whoes record is strong. One who we know about because he has nothing to hide. Whoes ideals and VALUES represent my own. I voted for the man whoes friends we admire and know because they are patriotic Americans. I voted for the man who will strengthen our economy because he understands economics. I voted for the man who understands the war and how to keep us safe. Voted for the man who knows what he is doing and has the record to prove it. Yes, of course, I voted for John McCain! And while I know he isnt perfect he at least represents a brighter future for my kids and for The United States of America!

Spider webs at night
I do not think I sent this picture from my phone yet but I thougt it was a really cute night shot picture. Shows part of the front porch. It is one of the windows from the bay window with a pumpkin. I like how the light shows the spider web really clear. We had a fun HALLOWEEN! I have better photos from our good camera that I will post when I get them uploaded to my computer. This mobile blogging and posting is so incredibly convienient though. I love how fast I can get things posted.
